Sustainability Part 2:

Besides comfort and style, a pair of Alden shoes and the Restoration Service that Alden offers are another glowing example of sustainability.

Upon return to the factory, your Aldens will receive an expert rebuilding – including all necessary repairs, new heel & sole and refinishing by hand. Making this process possible – along with over a hundred years of shoemaking experience – is the Goodyear Welt Construction of Alden shoes. The construction is specifically designed to allow for rebuilding, and it also provides the wearer the absolute best in comfort, support and durability.

Once tended to, the shoes are then returned with a pair of Alden cedar shoe trees & cloth bags – some would say “better than new”. The life of an Alden shoe varies with how they are worn and taken care of, but it is common to hear reports of 10 to 20 years with 2 to 3 refinishings.

The price per pair for the Restoration Service is $189. Feel free to drop your Aldens off at our shop, and we’ll ship them down to Middleborough, Massachusetts, for you.
